Job Description
Trainer and Assessor / Aged Care - Marking (Non-Training Role) Work for a company that is managed and owned by nurses teaching carers Queensland Health Academy is a progressive, ethical and forward thinking training partner. We strive to ensure students are trained to a high standard and are industry ready. We believe in quality training that is engaging, enthusiastic and ensures students reach their full potential. The Academy is owned and operated by nurses with significant experience across Aged Care, Emergency, Mental Health and forensics. We provide public face to face courses in Residential Aged Care facilities and provide people the opportunity to complete their qualifications via Recognition of Prior Learning. Due to expansive growth, QHA is looking for a Trainer/Assessor Aged Care - Marker. This role will lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. This role will assist marking of submitted assessments and flagging students who may require further training and development.This role does not require any face to face training. It is purely a marking role. You will be based at the Ormeau office but there may be an opportunity in the future to work from home in the future. This position will start at one day per week and can increase if the successful candidate wants more work. *Duties & Responsibilities: • Assisting in the marking of Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) • Helping in validating assessments • Updating student management system, reporting issues and highlighting training opportunities for our students. Benefits: Paid training and ability to undertake additional qualifications Negotiable wage based on experience A great deal of autonomy A fun culture Full admin support Nurses run the company and Nurses run the programs Casual Fridays where all staff have paid lunch together at head office Essential (mandatory) requirements (selection criteria): Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment At least 3 years residential aged care experience within the last 5 years Previous training/assessment experience Proven technological, communication and time management skills Strong administration and organisational skills Ability to map to the units of competency using a skills matrix Desirable: (Meeting the selection criteria, plus) Currently enrolled a Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) The successful applicant will be employed on a Permanent Part Time or Casual Role.
